A printed note is frequently desired within the clinic. Canvas includes basic patient demographic and visit information along with all contents of the encounter note in a note print out.  If RESTRICT_NOTE_SIGNING_TO_PROVIDER setting is enabled in config the print template is updated to reflect signature history at the bottom of the print template as well as last modified time stamps next to each command.

Print a Note

• Begin with the desired patient's chart open

• Click on the triple dot located to the right of the note's header

• Select Print note

• A PDF of the chart's note will be generated. Review this note. 

• Select Print - You can adjust printer settings as desired.

Print a Note (RESTRICT_NOTE_SIGNING_TO_PROVIDER enabled)

Enabling the RESTRICT_NOTE_SIGNING_TO_PROVIDER setting in Config will display the historical log of when the note was signed or amended at the bottom of the print out and if the latest version is signed or unsigned. It will also display the last modification and time stamp next to each command.
