Admin | Network Settings
Last updated: December 26, 2024
Canvas is a web application that is dependent on a strong network connection. When a network connection is lost, users can expect to be notified immediately so that immediate actions to re-establish connection can be taken. This way users will not continue to enter content that will be lost, because it cannot be saved to the database when connection is lost.

Example of Network Connection Lost Message
You can mimic a lost connection by accessing the DevTools within Chrome. Proceed to a chart with an unsigned/unlocked note. Click the triple dot menu in the top right of your browser. Select More Tools and then Developer Tools. Select the Network panel and choose Offline from the No Throttling dropdown menu. Doing so will prompt the error message to appear in Canvas.
