Command | Review of Systems

The Review of Systems command is a micro-template command in Canvas that allows a Canvas Provider to take inventory of patient's body systems to identify signs/symptoms that the patient may be experiencing. Each micro-template can be custom built to document specific findings for a patient. 

FAQ:

Q: I made a mistake, how do I remove this command?

A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted.  Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for directions.  

 

Q: How do I print this command?

A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option. 

Step by Step

  • Begin in an open note

  • Type "ros" or "review of systems" into a blank line within the note

  • Select the command by hitting Enter on keyboard 

  • Use the up and down arrow keys to select the desired ROS template from the list that populates

  • Press Enter to make a selection

NOTE: By default all sections are enabled and symptoms are unselected which marks all symptoms as denied. Selecting a symptom will record it as positive.

  • Click on a symptom using your mouse to make selections within the command

    • First click selects symptom and records it as positive

    • Second click opens modal to enter a comment. To remove comment click on the symptom again to open the comment modal and delete the comment.

    • Third click unselects symptom and records it as negative. You cannot unselect symptoms until all comments, if any, have been removed.

  • Select toggle to inactivate section

    • Inactivating section indicates that system was not reviewed  

    • Any selections previously made within the section will be cleared  

    • Selecting the toggle again will activate section again

  • Select Record to commit the command 

  • Select the command again to expand view

NOTE: Once the ROS command has been committed you will see a preview of any positives documented in the ROS. You can select the  If you print the note you will be able to view the full ROS that was documented.
