Panel | Outstanding Referrals

An outstanding referral is a referral that has not been completed and populates in the Outstanding Referral Queue.

Step by Step

  • Navigate to the Schedule View

  • Locate the badge icons on the top right 

  • Click on the triple dot menu

  • Select Outstanding referrals

TIP: The badge icon shows the total number of outstanding referrals.

  • In the queue, the following is visible:

    • patient name

    • who they were referred to

    • indication for referral

    • requestor of referral 

    • notes

    • internal comment

  • Click on the patient name to be navigated to the patient chart

  • Complete the referral

TIP: Refer to the outbound referrals article to review how to prepare an outbound referral

NOTE: A referral will automatically be removed from the list when a specialist consult report is imported in Data Integration and linked to the associated referral order. You can also remove open referral manually by clicking Ignore.
