Command | Immunization Statement

The Immunization Statement command is used to record historical immunizations for the patient. 

FAQ:

Q: I made a mistake. How do I remove this command?

A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted.  Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for directions.  

 

Q: How do I print this command?

A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option. 

 

Q: Where does the Immunization Statement populate options from?

A: Immunization statement is global and pulls from ontologies. 

Tips & Tricks:

  • The approximate date of the immunization field is required.  If you do not know the exact date of immunization, please select the most accurate data possible.

Step by Step:

This process begins in an open note of the patient chart. 

  • Type "immunization statement" into a blank line within the note 

  • Select command by pressing Enter on the keyboard.

  • Search the desired vaccine in the first line of the command. 

NOTE: This can be selected from either the predetermined options that populate or by the use of free text. 

  • Press Enter to select the desired vaccine.

  • Advance through the remaining fields by pressing Tab on the keyboard.

    • Approximate Date of Immunization: document the date of immunization.

    • Comment: any additional comments relating to the immunization. Field has a 255 character limit.

  • Click RECORD to commit the command.

NOTE: The entry immediately becomes visible in the patient summary located in the left side panel under Immunizations.
