Capturing a current medication list at the time of an appointment is critical to accurate documentation of a visit.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if I make a change to the current medication list, but want to document that I've reviewed that medication as well?
A: A second mark as reviewed can be added to the current note. Repeat the steps shown in the video and outlined below after changing the current medication list.
Q: I made a mistake, how do I remove this command?
A: Commands can be entered in error, but not deleted. Please review the Entering a Command in Error document for directions.
Q: How do I print this command?
A: A command can be printed by using the triple dot menu to the right of the command and selecting the print option.
Tips & Tricks
When Mark as reviewed is selected, the command that is inserted into the note is a snapshot of the medication list at that moment.
Step by Step:
This process begins in the desired patient's chart.
Navigate to the left-hand side of the chart, also known as the patient summary.
Scroll to the Medications list.
Hover over the Medications heading.
Click Mark as reviewed once it appears and a Review Medications command is inserted into your note.
NOTE: The Reviewed: Medications command is inserted into a new chart review note if a current note is not already open.
